About us

Two people, and that is the whole firm

There is no org chart behind this page. Whoever answers the email is whoever does the work, and that defines what we can take on as much as what we cannot.

Sofía Estela Rodríguez Farfán

Legal and sworn translation lead.

Guatemalan lawyer and notary, with a master's in international corporate law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, and an authorised sworn translator.

She signs and certifies every sworn translation that leaves this firm. She does not delegate the signature, which is precisely what makes it worth anything.

Her translation record covers the sectors where the document has consequences: law firms, pharmaceutical companies, shipping lines and customs agencies, banks, logistics companies, medical professionals, and non-governmental and international cooperation organisations.

On the legal side she works on international contracts, service levels, entity structuring and Guatemalan employment compliance, with the judgment of someone who also reads those contracts in their original language.

Ricardo Alejandro Giorgis

Technology and operations lead.

Systems engineer and business administrator, with an MBA and master's degrees in Project Management and Big Data. He holds certifications in Six Sigma and Scrum.

Business intelligence director with more than twenty years in customer service, collections and financial services operations. He has worked in workforce planning, reporting and business intelligence since 2008, from forecasting and capacity planning to data governance and automation.

He has led teams of up to 50 people and worked on operations of up to 7,500 people. He has collaborated with professionals from different countries and cultures around the world, coordinating data, processes and teams across international operations.

In his career before the firm, his projects achieved approximately USD 2.5 million in infrastructure savings, USD 1.3 million recovered through supplier audits and a 67% productivity increase in the first month of a credit process redesign. He also raised audit compliance from below 60% to 100%. These are results from specific projects, not a promise of returns for every engagement.

That experience shapes the technical practice: connect data to an operational decision, document the process and verify the result. He works in Spanish and English.

What to expect, and what not to

There are two of us and we do the work. When a project needs more hands we hire them and say who does what. There is no invented team on an about page.

That carries an honest consequence: there are volumes we do not take. If your project needs fifteen people next week, we are not the right provider, and we would rather say so on the first call.

What a two-person firm does sustain is what almost no large one does: whoever takes the requirement is whoever writes the query, and whoever signs the translation is whoever reviewed it.
